- BLS Occupational Projections and Worker Characteristics. It provides national employment, pay, outlook, openings, education, experience, and training. The current PathGauge edition is 2024 to 2034, published August 28, 2025.
- BLS Occupational Employment and Wage Statistics. These tables provide state and metro employment and wage data for future regional comparisons.
- O*NET Database. It covers tasks, skills, work context, and job zones. O*NET content requires attribution under its license.
- Apprenticeship.gov. The site links to registered-apprenticeship searches.
- CareerOneStop. PathGauge uses it to help locate license and training information, but the named regulator is the final legal source.
Canada
Current Canadian coverage uses Red Seal program material for credential context. The Job Bank and NOC links below are reference sources for planned regional expansion; current PathGauge career pay and outlook tables do not use Canadian records.
- Job Bank occupational outlook open data. This is a reference for future regional pages and is not used in the current figures.
- Job Bank wage open data. This is a reference for future regional pages and is not used in the current figures.
- National Occupational Classification 2021. PathGauge may use it for future occupation crosswalks, but not as proof that two occupations are equivalent.
- Red Seal Program. This source explains interprovincial standards and endorsement scope. Provincial and territorial rules still apply.
Credentials and regulated routes
Credential pages link directly to sources such as EPA, FAA, FMCSA, NABCEP, AWS, Cisco, ISC2, and the Red Seal Program. Fees and exam rules are reviewed manually because they can change outside a public bulk dataset.
- The EPA Section 608 certification requirements, definitions, and Section 608/609 overlap supply the federal equipment-scope rules used by the type selector.
- The ISC2 CC exam outline, Cisco CCNA v1.1 topics, and AWS CLF-C02 guide provide the current topic weights and scope used in the foundation comparison.
Licensing caution
A national occupation profile or credential is not proof that a person may perform regulated work in a specific jurisdiction. Always follow the regulator link and confirm the rule that applies to the location and work scope.
