Licensing can depend on whether you assist, install, repair, supervise, contract, or own a business. The relevant authority may be state, provincial, territorial, or local, and a neighboring jurisdiction can use a similar title with a different scope.

Ask whether the program is approved for the license, how supervised hours are recorded, and whether graduates are eligible to apply or only better prepared. Request the exact regulator link supporting any claim that training “meets licensing requirements.”
Record the full lifecycle
Include background checks, exams, work experience, insurance, continuing education, renewal, and reciprocity in the plan. A low first application charge can hide a longer and more expensive qualification sequence.
